I don't see a catagory for Rayco made resonators, in the reviews area. Also, not much in the discussions. Are they just a west coast thing? These are made in Smithers, British Columbia. I spent some time at their booth at Wintergrass in Tacoma, WA, last year. They looked and sounded beautiful to me. Has anyone owned and played one of these and can offer insight into their experience with workmanship, service and sound?

I Have #151 it is Babinga and Interior Spruce.... Well made ,good fit and finish, it is a hand rubbed satin finish... Good volume, solid up and down the neck, and the more I play it the louder it gets... Everone I have seen has the same qualities, tone and Volume.. rayco.ca/

Bris, when you say "interior spruce," do you mean that it's a laminate reso with bubinga on the outside and spruce on the inside? Or, do you mean it has a solid bubinga back and sides with a solid spruce top?

I have #174, all flamed maple with oxblood sunburst and herringbone purfling. Great loud tone, cuts through in a session and beautifully constructed. Mark and Jason are great guys to deal with. Had it a year and ......... yes, you could say I'm happy. Very.

Ive got no 100 (and soon to be 200) and i could not be happier with it. ive played a lot of different guitars in my time. including a few horns and the like. but since i got the Rayco i gave up looking around at other guitars bacause i dont think ill ever find one i like more. And if you ever see me out playing with the HillBenders or Midnight flight im always willing to pass it your way to see for yourself. if you have any other questions about them i will gladly share any info i have. or for that matter go to the rayco.ca and call up mark. he is a super cool dude. he has been busy building a house, but im sure he or jason will be glad to tell you anything you would like to know.
