Jim, let's see if I am getting a tiny bit better. I guessed that it was a Gibson era because of the black plastic truss rod cover. I don't remember seeing those on OMI or Dobro. That was the best I could figure.

Grizz , did you check the picture of the peghead ? It's a Regal, No connection to OMI or Gibson. Jim

If I may indulge the expertise of you experts once more... I'm trying to sell this reso, and am asked if the back and or sides are ply or not. I wish I was better at this, but I'm not familiar with these type of instruments.

It's ply. Solid wood is top dollar. Nothing wrong with ply.

I THINK IT IS A RD 40 V ROUNDNECK IN VINTAGE SUNBURST. I HAVE A SQUARENECK RD 40. LOOKS JUST LIKE IT EXCEPT FOR THE ROUND NECK.
