September 2, 1955,
Uncle Josh Graves' first recording with Flatt and Scruggs.

Thanks Uncle Josh, the dobro world could not exist as it is today without your contributions!

Too Cool You bet, his contributions were unrivaled. This is not to take anything away from others such as Oz, Tut et al.
Thank you for posting. RIP Josh and thank you.

I was just reading an article in BG Unlimited about Josh. Such as intresting fellow..

By the way, I'll be 67 the 8th, so if any of you need my address for all the gifts forth coming, don't hesitate to ask. I'll be more than happy to accommodate. :-)

The first break I ever heard him do was on Don't Let Your Deal Go Down. I was hooked ever since.

Love that break! Dynamic, different than anything I had ever heard! Then I heard" From Now On I Won't Be Hanging 'Round! Those two breaks are still some of the most powerful, creative I have heard!
