Dobro - genuine or not

I picked up an instrument on ebay advertised as a dobro.  It seems fairly well made and has a little dobro sticker.  But there are no other indications as to whether it's a genuine instrument or not.  I don't see a serial number.

The price paid and the fun of playing are more than adequate for the amount paid, but I would be curious as to whether or not this is an imitation.  Any advice on where I might find a serial number or other indications as to whether it's genuine.
