Sound

Great sound! Very loud and full. Even with the light dead strings in the store I could tell this was a good one. The nice folks at Melodee put on some medium EXP17s and Bam! A lot more sound. |

After changing the strings, the store adjusted the setup for me. Great service. |

Appearance

Beautiful wood and very tasteful even in the basic model. I was trying to decide between this and the deluxe appoinments and I found that I liked the simple fretboard better. As with many imports, too much glossy finish, especially on the neck. I would have preferred a satin neck. A few places on the fretboard where the stain was uneven but no big deal. |

Seems very solid and well built. I'll give a 9 only because it's an import. |

IMHO it's all about the cone. The Beard cone makes all the difference. I also like the chunky neck. Quite different from my electric archtop. The cover plate was not flawless but still looked good. |

No doubt in my mind that this guitar is a best bang for the buck in low cost resos. Highly recommended. |
