For Sale: Brass Dobro Body (Back and Sides) - $50 USD

Here's something you don't see every day. It is a deep-drawn sheet metal (brass) stamping of a 90 series Dobro body. It still has the extra brass intact from the original sheet metal blank. You could either turn this into a guitar, or it would make some nice wall-art, just as it is. Use the untrimmed part to screw it to the wall in your shop or picking room. Make a clock out of it! Or, figure out a way to trim the excess brass away, make and attach a top, and you will have an entire guitar body!

For Sale: Tri-Cone Bridge - $40 USD

While moving my shop to its new space, I ran across a handful of these little jewels. They are T-Bridges, used on tri-cone resophonic guitars. I doubt I will eve be building a guitar like this, so out they go!

These bridges are made from cast aluminum, and most likely came from the Dobro factory in Huntington Beach, California.

Feel free to contact me if you need specific dimensions, or other information.

For Sale: Mando-Reso Body - $75 USD

Not really new, but never really built, either. So, I guess we could call it new-old stock. This appears to be a mando-reso body that, for some reason, never made it to completion. This body is 13" long, 11" wide, and 2 3/4" deep. The top has been cut to accept a cone with an outer diameter of about 9 1/8". The two screen holes measure about 1 1/4" - 1 5/16" in diameter. The soundwell has a date of 01/16/80 written on it. The body is bound top and back, has a sunburst finish, and the neck slot has been cut. I had another one of these years back that I made a real nice clock out of. If you can make a neck for it and buy or make a cone and cover plate for it, I think it might make a pretty nice instrument too!

For Sale: Dobro Steel Cone Support Ring, Brass or Steel, 9 1/2&#34 - $8 USD

This ring is mounted to the inside face of the top of either a wooden or metal body resophonic guitar. This is the "well" that the biscuit-style cone sits in. The bottom (internal) flange is used to support the cone, and the upper (external) flange is used to mount this ring to the top of the guitar.

The inside diameter of this spun ring is made to hold a 9 1/2: dia. biscuit-bridge type of cone.

Your choice of either brass or steel. Same price for either one.

I have a brand new tipton RT-2 bar and a barely used scheerhorn chrome bar for sale. $45 dollars each. plus shipping (probably 2 or 3 bucks)

I played the scheerhorn bar for about a week and I ordered a tipron bar and played with it for about 2 min I decided i'm going to stick with my stevens bar. I don't do as many pulls off as most dobro players so I think the stevens suits me better.

Tom Warner built one recently and from all reports sounded just right. If you have a lugged cone or know where one might be please let me know.

The TKL came with my Meredith and I've kept it in the closet and used an older TKL so the new one would remain.....well.....new in case I found a Calton.

Heres a Sheerhorn cone for sale. I removed this from my model 27 today. Its been a great sounding cone with excellent projection. I decided to switch back to the Quarterman that I played for years. It was an experiment to see which I liked better. In this old box, the Quarterman sounds better I think. I think these still sell for 75 bucks. Give me a shout if you are interested. Thanks for the look.
