Heard this song sung by Ray Price many years ago... My friend Roy Thomson put it out on his 4 star lap steel course. I though it would lay out neat on the Reso.   Hope you enjoy.  leegee

Outstanding job as usual Lee! That's a great song and you really make it shine.  And I like how you start out with harmonics.

Thanks guys........I used Rosie on this song.... She sings a nice song.  I feel certain songs require the sound of certain Reso.. I tried the song with the MA and decided the sound of  Rosie fit the better of  the Two.    But all in all  I like the MA  because it kicks banjo butts.  HA HA>  leegee

AAh Lee, That was delicious. I tried to interest my wife in playing the reso sometime back to no avail. After listening to you just now, she said, "Ok, now I want to learn to play the dobro." A well deserved compliment.

Posting the same mp3 on someone elses mp3 thread. I am sorry but i have to say it is tacky, to say the least. It's not even a Reso. This is Reso Hangout, it should have been posted on Steel Guitar forum. A little decorum and common sense may be in order. Lee is to kind to say anything but I sure will. He is a good friend and a valued contributor and i think he deserves better.

Hi cjolly.  Every Thing I own I stick a name on...EX.  Mike Auldridge reso.."Shawndella"..   .Mandolin, "Mandy",      Pedal Steel, Ole Red,     Gibson console grande,  "Gibby",      Fiddle, "Squeeky",    Wife (which I dont own).. Mizzzzz Daisy,   and of couse Rosie...Which was made by Harry James of Stringer MS.  Grizz put me on to her about 6 months ago. The whole guitar is Indian Rosewood.  Her number is 96.  As I understand it,  Harry has developed health problems and was going to build 4 more to make it an even 100,  then retire from making reso.   Thanks for the inquiry.  leegee   Oh yaaaa.... my computer..."DEVIL WOMAN'    from the Marty Robbins's song   Devil woman set me free.   Ha

My Lee, that was superb. I can see the palm tree blowing and sand between my toes. Better yet, the girls in the grass skirts and little bitty tops. Really nice.

Lee, you did a wonderful job on this. Your playing has so much soul in it. Someday I hope to be able to play this well. Hmm.........when I'm 80?
