Happening this Saturday,.. 7/21.   Elderly is celebrating its 40th year of business with an open house (gifts, great deals, refreshments).   I am heading up there to meet some friends from the BHO.   We call it getting our Elderly's fix.     We have been known to sit on down and jam a bit.     It might depend on just how busy they are,...   C'mon down and have some fun.    I will get there around 1:00,... gotta feed horses in the morning before I can duck out....

Seriously though I would love to meet up with you there and I know some others that would join us but my present situation will not allow it. They are about 2.5 hours from here. My favorite "candy" store to be sure. Stan know's how to run a business like that.

Okay,... I can change that.   I also have friends coming from the BPHO,... the AHO,... and the GHO.   That would be (respectively) ,  the Bag Pipes Hangout,... the Accordion Hangout and the Glockenspiel hangout...

  There ya' go now. I am going to invite my friends from the THO (tuba hangout, oom paa paa)

Man,.... that was fun. Always is. We call it our Elderly's fix. You can test drive some of the really expensive instruments (treated with proper respect) to see what sounds & feels good. They had snacks & drinks,... and the choice of an Elderly's t-shirt or Elderly's hat. I went for the hat. Filled my wish list (hey,... big discounts today) .....and then some. We usually sit down and play a few songs. It was really busy up there and it was a tad noisier than usual as folks were trying out banjos,... guitars, ukes,... mandolins,...DOBROS (they had a good selection of Dobros)......all in the same room. Watch for another thread entitled "Elderly's Fix" in the late fall. Maybe we can "Expand the Jam"......
