Hi my name is matthew and I just recently bought a dobro acoustic/electric a couple of months ago and just got back from the guitar shop infact with a jay truser (I think) resenator guitar. I love the sound of both of them the feel and everything the only problem I have, is to be honest i'm a pretty loud wailing fuzzed out guitarist and both guitars seem to get a pretty bad feedback when played with any amount of distortion. Especially the electric, to me it sounds like its caused by the big plate on the front. Since I'm knew to the resonator/dobro game I'm not sure whats causing it and if it's something I can fix at home our something I'm going to have to get fixed at a guitar shop. Like I said it doesn't sound like anythings loose it's not a buzzing or rattling its just when its plugged in it gets a wicked feedback right after I end a note of any kind. Anyone have any advice on what to do if anything, are there any tricks I can do. Thanks if anyone can help write me back at imdafoos@yahoo.com if you can thanks a bunch

Are you using a preamp of any kind? Perhaps you may be turning the amp up too loud in order to be able to hear the pickup.
