I have a national triolian that shipped with pretty high action, I'm guessing for slide. I don't play any slide, so I'd really like to have this lowered. I don't think it's too bad at the nut, since when I capo it it's still high. It's got a biscuit, and the saddle is glued to that. Is there anywhere I can get a biscuit and saddle that's a little lower?

You need to deepen the string slots with files, and sand away the rest. This should help:

Are you sure the insert is glued into the biscuit? In my Epiphone it was just stuck in there tight. If that's the case then you could pull the insert out and file the bottom as much as you wanted and save all that slot deepening.
