Am a beginner reso player with a 1930's Dobro and would like to get serious
about learning to play. I would be interested in having a good, reputable repair person
evaluate this instrument, do the proper set-up, etc as needed.
Anyone know and can recommend a person or shop in the Portland, OR area?
Many thanks
Rick

KC at Pioneeer Music has a very good National/Dobro repairman. Pioneer's up near the Park blocks.

Frank is in Vandalia, OH, so I don't know if that's what you're looking for or not. If you are willing to ship it long distance, I've posted Frank's contact info for you:
Harlow Resonator Guitars
940 Rayberta Dr.
Vandalia, OH 45377
Phone (937) 890-7801
Website: harlowresonatorguitars.com
I might also suggest Bobby Wright in North Carolina. His website is customresosetup.com. Bobby is a great guy to talk to and knows just about anything you could ask about resos. Bobby was a "student" of Frank Harlow's and Gene Wooten's, so you can't really go wrong with either if you choose to ship out of the area.
