Hi All.. i was wondering if Jazz & Blues could have their own category?.. just doesn't seem right for two big genres to share one category.  I for one, would feel more comfy just posting to one or the other, seeing's how significant & diverse they both are in their own right..

Added/separate categories has been discussed ad nauseam. It is the consensus of the site owner/administrator that it isn't necessary. I wholeheartedly agree; Especially  with the advent of the relatively recently added  "Groups" section to the site. As i said in a previous post there already is a blues group, you should join it. if you wanted you could start a Jazz group. This will put you in touch with those of similar interests. How much better can it get. You newbies always want to change things.   Just kidding. I say if it ain't broke don't fix it and the site ain't broke. Hell start a Jazz group, I'm in. I hate to say this but you are in the minority on this site. It is actually better here than on the other one. Maybe this would be more to your liking and suit you better, bigroadblues.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=3  I am by no means suggesting you leave, please don't take it that way. I am really just trying to help.

Hey, no harm, foul. Hey, the group here has some really outstanding people in it save one, me. The other is still a good reference for you even if you don't spend a lot of time there. This is home base but i am all over the place. I think Eric hit on something when he implemented the"Groups" to the site. Look at the diversity. I belong to the Blues group, I have the Wessie Group, the Harlow Group and the Michigan Dobro Players Group. The Wessie group is second only to the blues group in membership. I think they are really cool. When someone posts, notifications are sent to all members of the group through e-mails. I for one love them.
