Let me start by saying: "Hi!" I just created an account because I bought one resonator guitar yesterday and need your opinions of that guitar. I bought it blindly, didn't check for reviews or anything; I just fell in love with her. I know that was a dumb move but I hope it was worth it.

Well, I was in need of a new guitar and I saw that one, read the specs and I loved the design. It was the first time I've ever seen a resonator guitar. I searched youtube for sound check and stuff, and I actually dig these type of guitars. What I want to know is if this specific guitar is a good one or if I made a terrible choice. There are more pictures and specs when you scroll down in the ebay page. Go easy on me guys, I'm new to these guitars. lol

I know I made a beginner's move, to buy a guitar without testing it or researching. I just bought it and wishing for the best, since it looks like a good guitar IMO.

One thing you will discover....reso guitars attract lots of attention  That's the way they are. Is electrified ? Is it a round neck or square neck ? What  style of playing do you do ?  Are you happy with the sound ? Are the strings new or do they sound dead ? The first thing is to buy some new strings. There are many posts on this subject on this web site. The more you can give us, the more positive direction we can help you . It was probably a good purchase dollar wise unless there it some problem such as buzzing of the resonator. More info would be helpfull.. Our reso bros will help you...

That auction isn't over yet so you haven't made any critical errors at this point. (If that's the auction you posted)

It's a low end guitar, whether or not it's a good low end guitar I couldn't say. If you get it for under $200, why not? If nothing else you'll have some fun with it.

Jack White and David Lindley would both dig it I would guess.

Don't expect it to play/sound like a $2,000 instrument and you won't be disappointed!

So here's a few things that I think are the case:
Is it a Jay Turser? Whatever, you've got a resolectric 'dobro', in other words, a spider cone guitar with pickups.
I say 'pick-ups', because it looks like you have a a volume / tone / and pick-up 'selector' knob - perhaps a peizo on the cone as well as the neck pick-up.
Its impossible to tell what the pick-ups sound like, but I guess they will work OK, although your guitar will not sound much like a dobro, and maybe not much like an electric!
I think the sound port is superfluous / cosmetic, i.e. is not routed out to the cone well - but I could be wrong there.
The good thing about it is that is not pretending to be an overly expensive pretentious status symbol - wear it out!
It's definitely worth keeping because it may continue to be useful (I have a mid range 'sollophonic' resolectric, and it is REALLY useful at times).
BUT, make sure before you buy your next resonator, you think it through what you actually want. Plenty of people here will advise you.

It is electrified. I haven't tried it though because I only saw it on the Internet. What I really need is some reviews for this "Cozart" guitars and/or if anyone has tried this guitar.

I wont expect it to be like a $2,000 guitar, dont worry lol.

What does spider cone means? Is it better compared to single cone ones? It has pick-ups.

I just found out about you guys yesterday, looking for reviews for Cozart guitars. Next time, I'll ask you guys; that's for sure. I might also ask for your help if I see the guitar needs some upgrades.

You'll need to get your head around it, especially before you start thinking of upgrading!
Anyway there's no real point upgrading it - it will sound OK, and if you upgrade it will sound still OK.
Just wear it out!!

I get it now. I researched on reso guitars and the Do Brothers, thx. Now, sorry to use this thread for this question, but which are better: "biscuit", "spider cone" or "tri-cone"?

I need to remember that, to wear it out. haha
