Just wanted to share some pictures of what I'll be will receiving in the mail in a week or 2. I've been using a regular guitar strap rigged up with a disconnect and I'm hoping this will be an improvement in stability, plus I think it is an awesome looking strap. I contacted Martin the other day and it just so happened that he had 4 straps already made for display that I could have my choice of and this one caught my eye. It reminds me of the leather work my father used to do when I was a kid. he made a lot of belts, purses wallets, etc.. Kind of brings back some good memories for me.
BTW, for those of you who may not know, Martin was very helpful in providing pictures and information, plus he does'nt expect payment until you get the strap and are satisfied with it which says a lot for his products and integrity as a person.

That looks really nice. I like that he provides and extra headstock strap so you easily switch instruments. What is Martin charging these days, and what's the turnaround time after order placed? Thanks.

Andy,
I really liked that extra headstock loop also. He had this one and 2 others that were 133.00 and one plain back one without any design on it for 87.00. I'm not sure if all his custom straps would be the same price. I did'nt ask. He said if I was to order one it takes 3 weeks to make and 2 weeks for delivery.

Hi Kim, thanks. I may just have to check one of them out! The prices look pretty reasonable for what you get.

Don't think you can beat it! I forgot to mention that the shipping is extra. It's 15 in german, not sure what that equates to in american but I think it is about 25 or 30 bucks. Maybe someone else knows.

Good choice. On top of Martin being an incredible human and musician, he's a superb craftsman too. Quite a talent.
That is sharp Kimbro. Enjoy.

Besides being a nice looking strap........ it looks like it would hold up for a century or two! Nice choice, Kim.

Exchange rate is in the area of 1.32USD to 1.oo Euro. or about 20.00 Euro for shipping. I'm totally satisfied with my MartinG strap and found him a pleasure to work with.

That's great Oboe. I'm looking forward to getting mine. Just got an email from Martin today and it's on it's way.

I have three of Martin's straps. They are works of art and the most comfortable instrument straps I have ever owned. Not to mention that Martin is a great guy and one hell of a dobro player.

I'm glad to here that Trapper and you are certainly right about Martin.
