Just put my Dobro in the classifieds for $1495 . Don't know how to copy and paist URL yet with my ipad.

I have an old Vintage Guitar Price Guide 2012 By the Guys that put out the Vintage Guitar Magazine and

it says $2000 - $2500 ?  I had it on ebay for $2200 and had about 80 watchers in the week it ran. No bidders.

I dropped it to $1995 for another week and same response . I now have it here and on ebay for $1495 ..

What do you guys think ?  I bet if George Gruhn or Elderly had it on the wall,it would be priced $2500.

Is the 56 not desirable ?

George would no doubt ask that, and might get it from someone who isn't an ebay watcher after an extended period. I think your price of $1495 is very realistic in todays market. I  purchased my model 27 (1935) a few years ago for $1035 on ebay. It's in average condition for almost 80 years old with a lot of scratches which I call personality.

I agree, that is a fair price. I purchased my 1937 Regal model 27 from Elderly in December for $1000. Original case too. Yours is more rare. Apparently there were a lot of 27s made.

A guy I work with said he ran out of propane, on Delmarva chicken farmers get most of it. His system had a leak, then they charged him to fill it, $1,440 plus $75 emergency fee and $117 "line check". He was scouring Craigslist for a wood stove today. Too bad it comes down to selling vintage stuff. Good luck.

It a tough economy fer sure and I think the utilities  are taking advantage of us all.

i put a $2000 dobro out there and can't get 1/2 what it's worth.

Its on eBay for $995 but I would sell to anybody for a  lousy. $895 plus shipping.

Looks like the only 30s Regal or Dobro sold recently on ebay was a Regal model 37 roundneck that went for $1325. You can monitor these antiques via ebay's Search (advanced) feature and check "Sold listings" which will show you prices and number of bidders.
