It will no doubt be needed at some point.

STELLING MAN - Posted - 08/02/2008:  07:19:06

Yea, were already growing by leaps and bounds, so mods will probably be needed..

I'd volunteer to be a mod. I spend a lot of hours by my computer picking so I have the time,

Well Liam was run away by name calling with no one being called to task for it so apparently moderators are needed already.
Must be some kind of record there...............

carteru93 - Posted - 08/21/2008:  20:08:23

It does seem as if some things are getting a little brash, I really think some mods are needed. We already have some volunteers, Myself, Jaminbanjo, and Larry Waisner.

Run away by name callig? He said the site sucked and acted like a jerk. Good riddance.

jslides46 - Posted - 08/22/2008:  14:15:42

You set such a fine example biz.
Hack and a jerk. Can you come up with any more?

Sadly just another example of needing moderators.....

carteru93 - Posted - 08/22/2008:  14:17:10

Okay, let's not turn this into a thread that will need moderators, lets just quit now. Let's remember we don't have mods, but Eric has the all the power of a mod.

Whatever. And this, coming from someone who is talking smack about this site and its posters on the Reso-Nation.

And I quote...
"Is it just me or has the nation grown a bit quiet in the last few months?

There always used to be something interesting going on to read and discuss.

I kind of hate to see it because most of the folks here seem to be the kind you like to hear from,

intelligent thought out topics, open minded etc.

I won't mention names but there is an ojnab site I used to frequent and to be honest I am tired of that bunch.

They chase so many parts searching for some unattainable sound so much it's sickening.

One guy actually said that a new head that was ONE gram heavier than another had it's frosting "calibrated for optimum tone".

There are some naive people in this sad old world.

They now have a reso site and it's pretty obvious it has started leaning the way of the ojnab site with the same tired old lines, one guy already wanting a "union" so he can get a tee shirt and a little gold shield by his name. sheesh.

Thank goodness for the NATION."

Get off your high horse.

biznork - Posted - 08/22/2008:  14:58:34

You also need to get your facts straight. He said this site sucked and asked Eric to delete his account before I said he was a hack. He wasn't run away by name calling.

jslides46 - Posted - 08/22/2008:  16:34:03

tell you what, I'll make suggestion that will be an improvement for this topic that has gone no where fast.

moderators please!

and one other.

most people in face to face conversation always think before they speak.
if we, meaning me too, do the same, or think before we type,
conflicts like this should be able to be avoided and that would indeed help this site get off the ground in a positive fashion.

i imagine that can be agreed upon.....
well I hope so anyway.
If not ...................

El Dobro - Posted - 08/23/2008:  03:37:50

And on the internet, we can think and edit before we push a button. Before saying a site "sucks" we can either come up with something constructive, or just leave. Then the need for moderators lessens.

True for Liam's as well as for all the derogatory comments that followed.
None of them were "constructive" unless Webster has changed the definition.....

biznork - Posted - 08/25/2008:  05:26:53

Let it go.

jslides46 - Posted - 08/27/2008:  18:35:33

I have the right to my opinions here as well as anyone else. As far as the topic is concerned as the site grows it will need moderation as the banjo site has shown.
This little rift is nothing to some that have come up there.
Unfortunately it's in human nature for some to push the envelope, to try to force opinions, and make assumptions that lead to disagreements and not always look at both sides.
Therefore the eventual need for moderators.
I marvel at how many times it happens on forums like these.
To future moderators, "thanks" for volunteering.
