They are both great cones. I have used both and believe its up to the individual choice.

I can say that dealing with Beard guitars was a great experience, and I REALLY liked the sound I got from my Beard Cone, but they are both good cones.

All my guitars have Quartermans and so far no problems. If something happens to one of the cones, I may experiment with different cones.

I have one guitar with a Quarterman and one with a Beard. They're both great cones, and I would be happy with either in a new build.

I've used both and I can't tell a difference, another thing to consider is that I was told Quarterman wasn't making anymore so the choice in the future is probably going to be Beard anyway. It is a great cone.

I saw the article, however, I hadn't considered them as a long term market because I think Tim is playing around with spinning cones, he's not taking orders for anymore guitars and I'm not sure he'll stay in the cone business very long. I understood he was trying it and making them for the guitars he's making, not producing them commercially for retail sale to the parts market.

They are listed at Elderly under resonator parts.

I've only destroyed one cone since I've been playing, so I don't know if I'll ever try another cone.
