Many thanks Kim !! I have 274 'friends ' on my home page and would like to send them a message ( friends only ). Can the webmaster or one of you out there show me how this is done ?

There is no provision for this. There is also a reason why: Sending unsolicited email to a list of users is called 'spam' and is generally frowned upon. You could set up a mailing list outside of the Hangout and send emails to those who subscribe to your newsletter. Setting up an email mailing list is done with your email client software and is usually quite straight-forward. For an example, I am on a news and events mailing list from my local public library which as I believe you know I actively support. I can opt out of receiving the emails at any time. HTH.
