The dobro has a long and unique history. Many of us love the pre-wars, and Steve Toth's recently published book seems to have added to the interest. What is more, serial numbers are unreliable, model numbers change, and even the same model undergoes changes that make identification difficult. Finally, this instrument is a genuine and uniquely contribution made in America. I would welcome a tab dedicated to dobro history and models.
thanks for a great site

I just bought my first, and probably only, pre-war from Steve. A beautiful 1936 model 37 #110.. It is featured on page 106 of his Dobro Roots. Although almost impossible, ! would love to find out who has owned / played this beautiful instrument during it's 80 years.
