I what I have been reading is right the cones with the spirals in them are junk ???

The only cones that I have seen with spirals were imports...If you want a good sound stay with Beard and Quaterman and you cant go wrong..Someone was telling me that Tut Taylor was making cones but I`m not sure as I havent seen one yet....Doug

National cones have spirals in them ,

If you look at the fourth picture at the largest size you can actually see two different types of spirals on the same cone!!

There are good cones with spirals (not to be confused with spinning marks) and crappy cones with spirals. Same goes for cones without spirals. The current National cones have a shield stamped on the cone.
I'm not a fan of any import cone, with or without spirals.
