Hi Folks,
I'm new to this forum and a novice Dobro player. I just downloaded TuxGuitar v1.5, but I can't figure out how to change it to Dobro tuning. Is there anyone here that uses this software that can point me in the right direction? I've found a couple of tutorials online, but the dialog boxes look different. Maybe an earlier version?

I do not use TuxGuitar but I have looked into it in the past. Of course I looked into Open Tuning support. Tuning is covered in the documentation I believe.
From what I recall there is a properties box for a track. It allows you to set the pitch of each string. There is also an offset variable which I think works like a capo.
Try this: tuxguitar.com.ar/tgwiki/doku.p...rst_steps
or this: volse.anduin.net/~haraldei/tux...uxguitar/
If that looks different from the version you have then I am out of suggestions.

Thanks Dennis. I've downloaded a trial version of GuitarPro7 and my initial impression is that it will be a more useful (and easier to use) program. I'd rather pay for something that works for me than struggle with a free program just to save a few bucks. Thanks again for responding.

Have you tried Musecore? I've done banjo, dobro, ukulele, and even arranged horn section charts with it. It's free. Not super user friendly but if an old codger like me can figure it out....
