Hi guys,

I'm looking to build my first round neck wood bodied rez but I don't have an existing one to base it off. So I need to gather as much info as I can first.

Any tips on good resources? Building books etc? Feedback from people who have built the Beard's kit? Unless I can find a really good book and blueprint, I'm thinking maybe the safest bet is to get a kit for the first build - thoughts?

gombul, ( Is that your real name?)
I don't know of any building books for resonator guitars. Beard I think has plans, Stewart McDonald has plans, parts for resonators, and a lot of books about acoustic guitar building.

I can't comment on a kit as I have never built from a kit or plan.
Greg McKenna of McKenna Guitars, used to sell kit guitars you may want to contact him. Just Google McKenna Guitars.

Sorry I can't be of help

Has anyone put one of these together?

If you got the money for a first time you can not beat this kit. I am building one kind of a project I took on and some from scratch . this Kit would be easier then get reranck finish in the spray cam .
