Any body do a tab that comes close to the Johnny & Jack version? I know a talented Dobro player should be able to figure it out, but that isn't me. Bev King has one but its not like the record

Gene Wooten's version is in the Great Dobro Sessions book transcribed by Stacy Phillips. Sharon

Thanks for the Stacey Phillips, Great Dobro Sessons lead. I found and ordered one on line just now.

This is such a cool video of a live version. I need an outfit just like Johnnie and Jack are rockin' here. The green suit, the red & white string tie that looked like it was cut from a tablecloth in a diner, and topped off with those hats.
And it cuts to Shot Jackson so that we can get a decent shot of him taking the Dobro break. The original recording featured Ray Atkins on Dobro. Shot Jackson took over the reso chair in the group not long after that.
Outstanding!

Good job David! Stacy had quite a challenge in getting the tab as accurate as possible as he did for a number of pieces on the CD.
Beware that Gene's version is a major "slant fest."
IMO Gene Wooten was the preeminent slant master in the history of the instrument.
I wish I could teach an introductory course in a college music department and call it something like Dobro 1A.
A required text and accompanying CD would be The Great Dobro Sessions.

Gene Wooten’s Poison Love is my favorite of all on The Great Dobro Sessions.
