Why are ads suddenly popping up in my posts?? Does it have anything to do with the "guy" who just posted rubbish on here? I assume that it's a temporary problem...

Occasionally, I have that same thing happen. Turns out, I have to sign in to the site, then all is normal again.

No, they have not been relegated to the barf bag. Just look at your own posts in the Scheerhorn Mahogany thread.



Google Ads appear to be replacing active links to YouTube videos shortly after the link is posted. It's pretty crappy and confusing since the purpose of the posts is largely lost once the Ad takes over.



I won't be using the rich text link button until it goes away.

I am guessing Player's Union members with a proper PC do not see them.

It appears that if there is only one link in a thread that the Ad appears as a pop up, bottom of the page on my browsing device. Then you can still click through the video link.



If there are multiple links per thread then the YouTube links are overlayed with an Ad. Then the link is gone and the posts are pretty much useless.

The ones relegated to the bag I was referring to were the three nondescript posts from overseas offering online employment. They were up for only a short time before being removed.

I don't have the pop-up ad problem others seem to be having here.

If you report the post as spam it gets shot down pretty fast.

Personally I don’t mind all of the Google ads. I don’t know how many of us are paying members but I suspect ads are needed to keep the site going.

Nothing has changed on our end, so my bet is you've got some adware/malware on your system that is inserting ads into webpages you visit.
