I've read the earlier posts concerning these now. This morning when I clicked on, I had an ad along with each entry on one of the topics. This has never happened before, and is most unwelcome.

You may have to update your ad blocker status to rectify the problem. Mozilla ad blocker on laptop...no ads...no ad blocker on cell...inundated with ads.

Again, nothing has changed on our end--those ads aren't being inserted by us. If you're seeing more than the typical ads, it's due to software (malware, adware) on your system.

I have just started seeing ads here also - including in this thread. And all of the posts after the ad are highlighted in grey and a little hard to read. I have checked this on two different computers this morning and it's the same. I have not seen this happenning at any of the other web sites and forums that I regularly visit, only here.

Eric, I cleaned everything out, ran a check for bad stuff, and signed in again, after which I've had no further problem with the interposed ads. If they return, I'll send a screen shot your way. Thank you.

Eric, I sent you a screenshot from my Iphone to your email. The problem seems to be minor on my desktop, but a major ad-spam attack on my Iphone.

I think I found the culprit!

Google recently switched to an "auto ads" feature, and by default (for some crazy reason) they enabled it. This feature basically lets Google place ads wherever they want on your website... the result is always terrible, in my limited experience.

Anyway, that didn't get disabled on Reso Hangout for some reason. It is now, and should take effect within an hour. Let me know if you notice a difference, especially on mobile phones where it seems most noticeable!
