Can someone explain to me why the Aura pedal ONLY works with the Fishman pick-up ?
I use it on one of my resos, a SlideKing Dobro which has a K&K mike installed at the bottom of the cone. I can hear the different mike settings with this and dial in the tone I want.

In my experience the Aura may have SOME effect but not the FULL effect. The Fishman "Nashville" (aka Douglas) pickup is not a mic so it has different impedance and output level characteristics.
For FULL effect, the Aura is designed to be mated with THAT pickup.
It's great that you're getting some benefit from it. I question why you need it at all if you are already using a mic(?) , since the box is full of mic images.
Hard to believe but the Fishman pair is more than 10 years old now.

Howard..the item I mentioned is a K&K Pure Resonator SB pick-up.
This is a passive pick-up installed inside the cone on the center screw.

My understanding of how the Nashville pickup and Aura work together is this: the pickup’s signal was compared to each of 16 mic signals and a computer calculated a detailed eq setting that when added to the pickup equaled the mic signal. Adding the Aura pedal to something other than what it was designed for is like putting diesel in a Prius.
