Does anybody have tabs for Spain by Jerry Douglas?
Thanks

I have never come across anyone creating tab for this tune but it's a great idea.

But I have to say good luck with the "A" section.

That's the sort of thing when Stacy Phillips would tab out an especially difficult Douglas number over the years he would add a disclaimer along the lines of: "I can't vouch for the accuracy of this section because it is almost impossible to write tablature for it."

Just for the heck of it I think I will slow down a YouTube video of either the original from Strength in Numbers, or one of Jerry's solo performances of Spain to see if I can wrap my brain around it.

Another approach might be to order the sheet music of the piece for piano by Chick Corea  which might help to make some sense out of it if you're a "reader."

Great piece of music.  It is so harmonically rich as played by Chick Corea in its many forms.  That is difficult to capture on a lap guitar.  Jerry Douglas does a good job. I have not seen a transcription of his playing though.

Mark has offered very good suggestions.  As Mark suggested, if you can read dots there are many versions out there for piano in pdf, paper or youtube videos.. This might be enough to get you started - melody notes, chord structure and such.

Or you can look over Chick Corea's shoulder as he plays it.

I will add that there are banjo tabs out there for the version that Bela Fleck recorded in the late 70's on his Crossing the Tracks album. They could also be of some help depending on your background.  Jerry Douglas played on that recording.  I could not locate a link quickly. If I find it I will add it here.  Aaaahhh, they are available on the Banjo Newsletter site.
