Has anyone had any experience and can provide feedback on the two types of mudslide tonebars? One is ceramic; other is ceramic with glass.

I just searched to confirm my suspicions ; Those accessories of which you speak are actually "Slides " , ie the are tubular and slide over a finger.
While here in the Hangout we discuss all things Resonator , most of the members play squareneck instruments played Lap Style , using a Tone Bar , also called a Steel . A solid bar with grooves on the side . So probably not much depth of experience with finger slides .

I would beg to differ on that. Yes, Dunlop do offer Mudslide models for bottleneck players. However...

That's the Mudslide Classic Tonebar. Sure looks like a lap style bar to me. jimdunlop.com/mudslide-classic-tonebar/
And then there is the Mudslide Hybrid Tonebar. jimdunlop.com/mudslide-hybrid-tonebar/

I have tried the Mudslide Classic. For starters it was too light for my taste. The bar ends did not work well for pull-offs either. But your mileage may vary, as they say I have not played with the Hybrid that I can recall.

I’ve been curious about these as well. All I’ve been able to find is some folks say they are light and need to be heavier.

Well I sure stepped into that one !
I did search , but directly for " mudslide tone bar " , which did show up with the hollow finger things . I guess I should have gone the long route to just access the Dunlap catalog , and then go thru it instead of using middle man .
And looking at Dunlap's description, they certainly are * different * from what we're used to . Different - good , different- bad , or just different- different I have yet no clue . I will note that Dunlap advertises them for use with Lap and Pedal Steel . I dunno if the absence of Reso was deliberate , or just that we're so niche that we're not worth expending the advertising copy .
