Bought 7 guitars including a new Eric Clapton acoustic. Miss Acoustic slide play have owned many National my Favorite was El Trovador. Got good advice here but it got away... I have many electrics, but really there is nothing like an acoustic slide guitar using my favorite slide. An old copper one. Use glass on electrics...ain't the same.
Thanks,
Anthony

Good luck with your search. Not saying it's impossible, but most $750 instruments sound like, well, $750 instruments. Save up some more $$, or sell a kidney to afford something wonderful.

If you had a real El Trovador you're probably ruined on 750 buck reso's imo.

Also- Search patiently for one of "those" deals, jump when it shows up, and don't mind blemishes. I got a great deal on a metal body biscuit* because of a headstock repair and finish sanded off the neck. Those are turnoffs for a lot of folks so the music store couldn't charge much; however, it's worked out well for me.
