Thank you.

National’s guitars are all built in San Luis Obispo, CA.

I need to ignore that right now if it's for real, because I can't be buying more guitars.
The price is almost too good to be true. The street price new from a National dealer I believe is north of $4K. Used in clean condition mid to high three thousands.

It is an M1...I had one for a very short while...it sounded somehow dead..I don't think the plywood they used is very responsive....another player I know also played a different one and felt the same...YMMV, of course.
I'd been through some great metal old Nationals but wanted a little wood to warm up the tone...the M1 wasn't it.
So I then bought one of the 2 wood NatiHorn tricones that National made (they say they have material for another) and that was much better. So I saw an ad, got crazy, sold the Natihorn, and went for one of the 3 real Scheerhorn tricones that he made, that was available on consignment...but got too scared to take it to gigs (price was a bit north of $10K). Sold to a collector after a very short while...
Ended up with a very reasonably priced totally custom National-shape tricone made of myrtle and rosewood from Ben Bonham, best of all worlds, National vibe with sweet wood tone, and even a hollow neck...lots of nice overtones, very musical.
