I just got a doubleshot hipshot installed on my beard E model and it doesn't fit in the case now. Any recommendations on a case to get?

I have a deep body Byrl with the hipshot doubleshot with a Price case and it fits well. I think there are other cases that will accomodate it, too. I really like my Price case, though.

My Beard E model equipped with factory doubleshot came in a TKL case that fits it perfectly...contact Paul Beard for info.

I got a new Texas made Calton for my DoubleShot equipped National Scheerhorn L Body. It was designed to fit these and the E Body. Nice, roomy, tough but spendy. I don't worry about checking it into baggage. For Father's Day my son gave me an Apple Air Tag and on this last tour I put it in my case. You can track it with your phone using the Find My app which adds a little comfort knowing it's on board with you. About the size of a 50 cent piece, I was carrying it in my wallet so I named it "Wallet", its location showing up on the screen.

I have used the Calton Case Beard sells for my Doubleshot equipped E Beard and it fit great. And I also use AirTags in my cases and gear boxes.

I second the Price case. Gary makes a model called the Classic Dobro case and it’s made to fit most reso body sizes including those with a Hipshot. My B&B reso with a Hipshot fits like a glove. Like Greg mentioned with the custom Calton cases, not cheap, but worth every penny given the peace of mind that comes with it.

Per AKSlider: Texas made Calton... Nice, roomy, tough but spendy
Per SlimPickens: Price case... not cheap
If your Hipshot equipped reso will ever be "entrusted" to airline baggage handlers, I agree wholeheartedly with Greg and Brent. The Calton and Price cases are high priced but still cheaper than the guitar that luggage handlers destroy.
If you're more of a weekender/road warrior, here is the Beard/Resophonic Outfitters extra deep deluxe case, at about 1/4 or less the cost of the molded cases (I have used this case for 5 or 6 years I think).
If you can still get the Travelite reso case, it will fit the Hipshot with the tailpiece block removed. That's what I used before the Beard deluxe case.
