Has anyone else tried these thumb picks out? I first thought that they might spin around on my thumb but they are actually pretty stable in that way. They are pretty comfortable on my thumb but they do not sit as far up on my thumb as the Blue Chip or the Golden Gate picks (Clown Barf) that I also like. Sound wise they do not measure up to the Blue Chips for me but they are pretty close to the other plastic picks that I have on hand. I tested them against the Blue Chip, Golden Gates (a couple of different flavors) and an Acri with the black delrin blade. Sticking with my Blue Chips for sure.

I stick with what works for me, and that's Blue Chip, so honestly I never need to look at anything else.

This a Black Mountain Thumbpick. It's spring loaded, and stays pretty tight on your thumb.
A guitar playing buddy gave one to me a year ago. I like it, but not enough that it would ever replace the BlueChip. As a matter of fact, since Matt Goins was running a Labor Day free shipping sale, I ordered another BlueChip to have as a backup.
The Black Mountain is nice for standard guitar because if you're thumb picking you can shift to flat pick strumming - it's a good sized blade, but you just happen to have a band that circles your thumb for a firm grip.
If I left the house without my BlueChip for dobro and happened to have the Black Mountain with me it would work fine as a pinch hitter. Again, it would never replace BlueChip in the starting lineup.

I have a BM thumbpick. 3 actually, gift from my sweetie.
I found they slid to much too be really good on the dobro. Lol, now, take off the springloaded part, and its the finest flatpick I've ever used for a regular guitar!
BlueChip thumbpicks just cant be beat.

Thumbpicks are like shoes - it's not "one size fits all."

Hello,
I have moved off BlueChip. I have moved to Landis thumb picks. I have enjoyed the product’s non slip configuration. I use Landis finger pics also. I never thought any type of metal thumb pic would work. I have others but they rotated. These stay in place.
