Hi all,
I've been noodling with bullet bars lately and I really enjoy the stone tone bars from Rocky Mountain Slides.
If interested, I just posted a video of a Merle Haggard arrangement (Sing Me Back Home) using the Elements Series XL Tone Bar. This is the 3.25" length / 1" Diameter version, which fits my hand well. I like these because they are much lighter than stainless steel tone bars, while providing some different tonal characteristics. These run $44.95.
I would only use this for certain types of songs, usually slower to mid tempo. For fast stuff, I use my Shubb rail type bar.
Sorry, no A/B comparison, just the arrangement with the stone tone bar, played on a National Square Neck Tri-Cone.
Here's the video.
Oh...and "Doc" at Rocky Mountain Slides is great to work with.
Best regards.
