Just want to take a minute to tell everybody Phil came up to the house this week and brought 4 of his reso's. Three solid wood bodys and one laminate. I played um all and have a very favorable opinion of all of um.
The Koa/Spruce is a killer guitar. Very pretty, nice work and the new body style is going to be very good for him. But the best tone for my ear was the Mahogany. The bottom end is so smooth.
I'm impressed. So if anybody gets a chance to play one, or if you find need to buy, you'll have something to show off for sure.
I don't want to get to "gussssshy", you might think I'm trying to sell the guitars for Phil.
..Preston..
Play it again, Sam. Over, and over, and over:

Well Preston,
I have yet to see or play one of Phil's reso's, but I sure like the way they look from the pictures he posts. By the way, he is one heck of a nice guy, too. We just had our first phone conversation (or two) yesterday, and it just made my day. We found that we had a lot more than reso. guitars in common, which is always nice.
Hope to meet you in person some day soon, Phil!
