I am trying to find some info on my late husbands Dobro. He bought it secondhand before we met so, late 80s maybe 1990. I don't seem to be having much success in finding the meaning of the numbers on the head of the guitar (sorry if it's not called the head!)

I tried to upload a pic but no luck. The numbers stamped on the head are : 4 206 R 90 H

The numbers are on what is called the headstock.

The H likely refers to a model known as the Hound Dog. R = roundneck as opposed to thick squareneck for lap style playing with a steel bar. Probably from 1990. Does it resemble the guitar in the link below?

Carol - uploading photos from your phone is pretty easy. At the bottom of your post you click on "choose file." This should take you to the photo app on your phone. You can do three in one post, but they have to be one at a time.

You can select from your photo library, take a new photo, or browse. At least this is how it works on an iPhone 12 and some earlier iterations. 

The $925 U.S. price for the guitar I linked is on the high side because it is at 1. a retail shop which needs to get more instead of buying from a private party and 2. Gryphon is the most prestigious guitar shop in the San Francisco Bay Area with many Tesla driving Silicon Valley types for customers. 

On the other hand, I have no idea how many dobro players there are per capita in New Zealand so I'm not very clear what you should ask for the guitar. And of course condition means everything in selling used guitars, so we need photos to be of further assistance.

I looked up the conversion rate. NZ$  For the $925 U.S. guitar would be $1286. I would think right off you would need to be a bit under $1000 in New Zealand currency.  But that's just a guess.
