I'm looking to add a RESO to my guitar collection. don't have a lot of cash. Been looking at this 6 string cutaway Cozart that really caught my eye. Nice looking but never heard of the brand. Tried searching the web not much out there. Looking for the pros and cons of it, price is in my budget, seen some you tube vids, were not much help. looking for some specs and non biased review of the instrument. Any of you Guys and Gals have some wisdom you could share with me?

I'd never heard of the brand either until just the other day when a guy shared a Cozart double neck lap steel he found on the cheap in the Facebook Lap Steel Lunatics group.
For whatever reason this steel had adjustable bridge springs like you find on many electric guitars.
Apoarently they didn't get the memo at Cozart that you don't need to put these things on lap steels.
When I googled Cozart I found they have a variety of mostly inexpensive instruments.
I guess it's one more company in the seemingly endless line of importers who have guitars made in Asia.

Some time ago I had a hankerin' for an electric 12-string, reinforced by multiple low-dollar eBay auctions. I got a Cozart. The hardware looked reasonable, the materials were decent, the setup (action, intonation) was really poor. Don't know how that experience will translate to reso guitar, but as much as reso requires a great setup to be good, I would predict it will be a reso-shaped object that may or may not have the playability and tone that you need or expect.

Thanks Dave and Mark. Dave, that was the info I was looking for. Its a decent price but, I would also like decent play ability and sound. They are one atractive looking instrument though.
