I am picking up playing the reso after many years, have an old dobro I've been using. Got a lead on a Paul Beard Signature that was in the family, never used.
Anyway, hope to see it soon, I do have this pic, not much else info till I see it.
Can anyone offer insight just by this pic, maybe some ideas on what to look for to determine exact model and value? Thanks for any input and advice.

Picture of the headstock/peghead? It's not a Goldtone Beard PBS. Wrong inlay.
"PBS" is a specific model and that is not a PBS. If it says Gold Tone on the peghead that would be a PBS-D maple laminate guitar.
If a PBS-D, you can google the model and see what the new retail is.
Price used accordingly.

Not very clear, had to blow up the photo, but definitely reads Gold Tone on the headstock.
I'll say it looks clean and unplayed - or what we can determine from the photo. Looks like it was pushed under the bed after being purchased and just never came out again until now.
As Howard wrote, the model is the PBS-D (for Deluxe). Laminate or "veneer" curly maple. The going retail price when new is $1300.

You're welcome Dan. We'll need a report after the guitar arrives

A few more questions on this, thanks for the replies, gave me lots to work on.
If this reso was set up by Beard, I would find a sticker under the bass side sound hole? And would make this guitar more desirable?
If there is a receipt from a Beard authorized dealer, is it transferable to me in the case I want to upgrade down the line to a nicer guitar?
I think a hipshot and certainly a pickup would be useful.
Thanks for any replies. @hipdobro, @MarkinSonoma.

1. More desirable? To some. Beard sticker will be under one of the screens. If a Beard setup it might well be old enough where a new setup is desirable, depending on condition. Beard has not set them up for a few years now.
2. Guitar upgrade credit if purchased from a beard dealer? Sorry, no! Only if the original purchaser bought from Beard direct.
3. Doubleshot and pickup? If that's your style, sure. Add the cost of a new case as well. The Doubleshot equipped guitars are too deep for the standard case.

2. Clarification. YOU must be the original buyer and have bought the guitar directly from the Beard shop in order to claim any upgrade credit.

Thanks for all the input Howard and Mark, it is a vey nice guitar in great shape never played, and has a Beard sticker under the high side sound hole. I passed on it because I really need a pickup, but it seems a good price at 950. If anyone is interested, I can forward contact info.
