Hello Eric,

My desktop computer has been down for awhile so my hangout visits are all on my iPhone.

I would like to change my profile photo with the "choose file" tab from my phone photo library. It  is on the far left of the screen and it is not accessible. I can only access the "generic" photos here on the site.

Can you please look into this?

Thanks,

Mark

I must have changed mine on my computer. I have an 11 and couldn’t change it on mine either.

Was able to change my profile photo (iPhone 11) using the "edit profile" screen but I could only select from the stock images provided by the hangout. I'll fool around this evening to see if I can somehow move one of my library photos into the stock image facility and thence to my profile.

I done it! Takes a bit of fast fingering and patience but after you select "change my photo" you can get to a "choose photo" tab which is on the far left and very cleverly slides off to the side. But, if you work with it, you can select it and once you do, it will let you pull a photo from the photo library on your phone.

I finally was able to do it by tapping where it says “NO FILE SELECTED”.

Good job Frederick!

It never occurred to me to click on that phrase since it was in plain (small) letters and didn't appear to be "clickable."

But as it turns out - that's the ticket!

Now if only I could figure out how to embed a YouTube video from an iPhone where the actual screen appears in the post  instead of settling for a clickable link that sends you to YouTube.
