The neck pulls away .
Told the daughter ( dobro player , former music store worker , with the instrument stringing duties ) to : " Put on the accoustic Lites , remove the nut converter , and tune to * Regular Guitar * tuning .over the phone . Repeated 4 or 6 times .
Pulled it ( Import brass body Biscuit Roundneck) out of the case at the sat nite jam , and it was bent like a banana , with the nut converter in place , and appeared to have been attempting GBDGBD when I checked tuning.

Appropriate that the report of this episode came from a member whose handle is "Biggfoot" - because we've heard the stories about roundnecks ruined when tuned to GBDGBD, but like the elusive legend of Bigfoot - not many people have actually witnessed it in the wild.
We can chalk up one more with this one, and though I've never witnessed this sort of thing up close and personal, I have come across these accounts often enough that I would never tune up a roundneck to high bass strings with medium or heavy strings.

And if I can do the photo thing , here is my temporary stand in .
Regal RD- 3 . Wood body ( 0 size ? ) F Hole Biscuit . We eventually bring back the Nickled beast , but will have to wait .
Not as much growl and twang as the brass bodies , but good volume and interesting tone .
Arrg . Got the pic into the picture thing on the forum , but can't get it into the post . Will have to try to get assistance from daughter before going to work tonight.
