I bought a soundwell from Resophonic Outfitters when I made my first spider cone guitar several years ago, and copied it for the first couple of guitars I built. Then I used it in my third, as I recall, and made my own since then. I'd like to go back to buying them but now I don't know where I can. They're a bit of a nuisance to make. It seems like they're not popular anymore, but I like the sound I get with them. If anyone knows of a source I'd be grateful to hear about it.

Wouldn't hurt to contact Beard to see if they have old stock laying around. As far as I know Paul no longer builds a soundwell guitar. The "Legacy R" has moved on to an open body design.

Thanks, I'll send them an email. It's funny how things change. The reason I began building with a soundwell was because I got the Beard plan with the soundwell about 9 years ago.

Guitar design and performance characteristics change right along with music and market preferences.
The way of the world.
