yo - just looking around for tabs for different g runs you all may use to get into song, move from I to IV/V chords and back. I have a few but looking to add to the library. would love anything you may have for d scale as well.

Matt, I think more information is needed.

Are you referring to lap style dobro playing on resonator - or is it standard or Spanish style resonator?

I don't recall ever coming across instruction for lap style G and D runs. Over the years I have occasionally messed around with dobro versions of G runs like Lester Flatt used to play, but I've approximated those for Open G tuning.

For that matter, even played standard or Spanish style, I can't say that I have seen examples for Open tuning like G or D. There are likely dozens of instructional videos on YouTube for flattop guitar in standard tuning, and plenty of tab.

I think for G tuned dobro a lot of banjo licks that might be interpreted as "runs" can be useful. I remember Rob Ickes saying many years ago that he learned some good moves from the book Earl Scruggs and the 5-String Banjo.  My son had  a copy a number of  years ago, and I recall picking up some tips from that book - but unfortunately I can't tell  you these days what they were.

Jimmy Heffernan used to offer a DVD called 100 Licks for Resophonic Guitar along with tab (which I have somewhere around here) but I couldn't find it on his website, so I don't know it it's still available. Some of the content might certainly qualify as "runs."

I've got that CD and tab, but IMO most of the licks are too long to be called runs. In fact, a lot of the licks on the CD are actually small compilations of short licks, the more scalar of which I might refer to as "runs."
