I’ve searched the forum and have read numerous topics about dating my Dobro but can’t seem to come up with exactly what I have. My serial number is:
P 6 564 94D
Any assistance you all could provide would be greatly appreciated! I’m losing my mind here. Lol

Your Dobro is from 1994, the year after the company was purchased by Gibson. They put Mike Replogle in charge, he was very organized. Mike ran Dobro in Huntington Beach until some time in 1997 when Gibson decided to pull the plug and move the operation to Nashville where production was resumed in 1998, which was the beginning of the downhill slide, and eventually the brand was pretty much driven into the ground.
P = solid headstock
6 = style (I'm not sure what a "style 6" is - if you supplied some photos we might all receive a bit of education. It could refer to the most popular version, the Model 60 - but pictures are worth a thousand words).
564 = instrument rank for the year
94D = year of manufacture and D indicates wood body.
