Does anybody have any experience with resonators from Ortega? The information online is very limited. I can only find sources from Ortega themselves. Would be interesting to hear what someone unbiased has to say?

I know it's a pretty big company based in Germany, and they sell products in the U.S., but I don't recall ever coming across any of their instruments in stores, or if I did I might not have been paying any attention.
I was scrolling through their online catalog, and they remind me of Saga Music based near San Francisco. Saga is the company that imports Regal resos, Kentucky mandolins, Blueridge guitars, Golden Gate thumbpicks, and hundreds of other items.
Maybe not so much in Norway, but in the U.S. there seems to be an endless stream of guitars of all kinds from companies that design them here but have them manufactured in China, Korea, Viet Nam, Indonesia, etc.
There seems to be a lot of similarities from one company to the next with these guitars that might sell here in the $400-$600 range.
We'll see if anyone posts about their Ortega resonator. In the meantime, since it is likely that few if any members here are familiar with the model number, here is a link to one on Reverb in "Distressed Satin Whiskeyburst" finish. As far as appearance, it does look pretty nice.

We have the same type of brands here. There are some big ones like Harley Benton and Ortega that covers all of Europe, then I believe each country has their country specific brands. In Norway it's Morgan, UK has Ashbury, Barnes & Mullins, etc.
What I find interesting is that the American China brands get a great reputation here and are associated with quality, while the European brands doing basically the same are bashed for being "cheap china guitars".

They look nice, but I've never seen one in the USA.

I asked Ortega about the cone and recieved an answer today. It's stamped. At that price I would rather get a RK with a handspun cone at a lower price!
