I have a metal Dobro from 1982 with a rose theme. I see prices are all over the place on Reverb and each one seems unique. How in the heck do I value a Dobro of this year and make? Serial is "8 1239 2B"

You could have it professionally appraised by Gruhn or Carter Vintage Guitars in Nashville. If you don't want to spend the money, look on Reverb.com or eBay to see what similar instruments have sold for in the past. This is a Model 36, by the way.

Don't look at what people have asked for such instruments - look at actual sales. These are relatively uncommon, but this is the second one I've seen this week. I can't tell from the photo if this has a square neck or not.

I owned one for a bit last year. It had a dent in the body that was cosmetic and didn't affect the sound. I sold it for just over $1000 USD.

Brad - this is a roundneck because it has a truss rod cover on the headstock.

Demian, in selling the guitar you want to clearly state that it is a roundneck for standard or "Spanish style" playing as opposed to a squareneck designed for lap style playing with a bar.
