Joe, if it's not already spoken for I'll take it! When my car was broken into on a road trip five years ago along with losing an Asher lap steel to some scumbag, he also took off with several effects pedals I have yet to replace.

Thanks for the kind words folks, as I wrote to Joe yesterday I guess I enjoy discussing dobros almost as much as playing them. Having been a former part time writer about horticulture and gardening since the nursery industry was my main career for 40 years, the hangout helps to get the writing out of my system.
And someone has to be one of the main "keepers of the flame" on this forum. It would be a shame if the only place for these types of discussions would be a social media site like Facebook. The Dobroholics group there is very good, but the logistics of Facebook discussion are a little awkward compared to what webmaster and site owner Eric Schlange has created for for us here. Kudos to Eric!
I don't want to sound greedy - but perhaps I'd like a free puppy. 
We had to put down Sasha, our German Shepherd dog going on five years ago. She had a good run for the breed living to almost age 13. Sometimes I'm pining for a new doggie, though other times it's a relief not having to deal with the responsibility and expense of being a pet owner.

Old school forums like this one are superior or Facebook in my opinion and I truly hope this forum doesn't get abandoned in favor of it. I think lots of users are addicted to smartphones and prefer them to using a computer. It doesn't hurt that FB has spent billions over at decade or more refining their smartphone user experience. But the content is what really matters.
I'd rather play music than post about it and I bet a fair number of us are in the same boat. I also have family obligations that take me away from playing for stretches of time now and then, so I'm not as regular a visitor as I'd like to be. Again, I bet a lot of us are in the same boat. This is where the convenience of smartphones is an advantage and why a lot of people, not just resohangout folks, have moved to smartphones as their main computing device.
My thoughts on keeping this forum a lively place if you are worried about it: post stuff!! Ask questions.
