I found this on facebook, Dobroholics. I copied and pasted the article below for those who are interested. There are some nice pic's of them on the facebook page. I'll be ordering an ST-1 in black chrome as soon as they are available.



"Tipton Bars! So my friend Chris Simpkins is going to be offering top Quality Tipton bars, as well as his own version, the ST-1 bars, and he’ll be up and running in a couple weeks with a web site and everything. They are coming!! His ST-1 bars are a nicely modified Tipton with a tad more ‘grip’ for the fingers and a .950” radius end so they are unique from the standard Tipton bar. He can do black chrome and engraving too. They look like jewelry, so nice. He did a trial set of black ST-1 bars about a month ago and is sending three to me on Monday. Standard chrome Tipton bars like RT-2 will be available too. Rob Ickes is using an ST-1 now. More on these once they arrive! Looking forward to you experienced/pro level players trying them and sharing comments too. He asked for just a couple more weeks to get his site up and then bars will be available!!"

I have been using Tipton bars for years. I have tried them all, the 1 the 2 and the 3, I settled on the number 1 with 10 degree slant, and sold the 20 and 30 degree bars. I’ve been using the same chrome plated bar for 13 years and it’s still in great shape. I have a couple back ups but doubt I will live long enough to use them. They are the best bar in my opinion, nothing comes close. Thanks for the heads up, I know a few guys that are looking for one.

I just saw that Rob Ickes has the ST-1 Black Chrome model on his website for sale. $128.....add in the shipping makes it a little pricey for me right now but I'm thinking about it.

Correction: It's an RT-1 not an ST-1

I just ordered the ST bar from Rob”s website. I paid $6.00 shipping. I am only 140 miles from Nashville.

Congratulation. You must have got the last one, the site says its out of stock now. You'll have to give us a report when you get it.

I am not so lucky after all, I had an email from Jennifer, Rob’s wife, that my order is delayed. My order processed but they will have to ship it when they restock. Bummer but at least I don’t have to worry about getting in line for the next batch.

I just received the new ST bar! I haven’t had a chance to try it but first impressions are, it’s a beautiful highly polished bar! The bar arrived in a hard plastic padded tube with a microfiber cloth included.
The top section for your finger to rest in is narrower than other bars I have, in fact the bar itself seems a little narrower to me.
The bar should slide like ‘butta’.

Ditto Mark or anyone who has purchased one can you tell us where to get one? I am not on FB won't sign up for it either so any help is much appreciated!
