Here’s another original by our band, the Sugar Mules, called “Gettin’ Gone”. This is also a "live" band take, with final vocals over-dubbed afterwards. I'm tuned Open D here.
Spotify or YouTube - same audio in both.

Thanks for listening!

This works on all levels; vocals, writing, playing, arrangement. Thanks for posting!

Thanks! Truthfully I wish I had a “ do-over” on my Dobro part…but this was one of my favorite overall songs out of our new releases.

Sounds good man. I think we all feel that way (the do-over thing), at least after every recording I have ever done. Playing the same tunes live first I think helps alot before going in the studio, too. Although sometimes the first take on a new tune turns out the best because you're improvising and letting the right brain loose ;).
I have a rough mix of our next Level Best Band CD that I keep listening to and don't like my dobro break on a few tunes, because I felt like I repeated myself a bit too much on certain licks. I'll probably keep it though.

Thanks Wally! So true...didn't want to ruin the band's live take, so got repetitive on licks.
Checked out some of your Level Best Band stuff, excellent playing and vocals.
Welcome, and stick around :)
