Howdy folks,
I am getting ready to list my dad's 1993 Scheerhorn R-body, and I can not seem to find any comps for determining a starting price. Any suggestions? It is in good sounding and good playing condition with significant play wear, but I can not seem to find any recent sales of Rs, only Ls.

You need to get on Facebook. Jim McNab of North Carolina has accumulated a boatload of Scheerhorns and started a a page on FB called Scheerhorn Guitar Owners and Enthusiasts. He has sold a number of guitars in that group, and others have joined in and sold guitars there as well.
We may be able to give you some guidance here - what is the serial number of the guitar? As far as guesstimating, we can't tell you much of snything without photos.

1993 serial number 060. has play wear and a couple dings. includes original case and an original pickup with some sort of radio shack preamp (that actually sounds pretty good)

Reverb or eBay might be worth looking into. Some shops like elderly might have sold one this year. It’s hard to say. I’d definitely look at Vintage Guitar Review for more ideas.
