Anyone want to chime in about their personal Tim-Built reso?

Once met a guy that had one of "Larry the Legend's" guitars, as I recall it was a beautiful Beard MA6 signed by Mike. Told me that his wife had paid $10,000 for it. That was the most expensive dobro I had ever seen or heard of at the time but I don't generally travel in those high altitude circles.

How cool to own one of Mike's personal guitars. On the other hand, when Mike was still with us, it's my understanding that no MAS models exited the Beard shop until he gave them his personal thumbs up. A lot easier on the old bank account.
But that wife is priceless. ![]()

So Petros, you seem to be on a roll recently regarding all things Scheerhorn. You ready to drop big dough to join the society of Scheerhorn and learn the secret handshake?

Unfortunately I won't be joining the club (yet). I am a huge Rob Ickes fan and went with the Spruce/Rosewood Nati-Horn (see pic getting it next week) which National confirmed is the same exact guitar as the old Rob Ickes model sans "pick guard". Got a great deal on a rather great looking one IMO lovely burst from Haggerty's (plug: great store real people work there).
Maybe next year for a Tim-Built... but I did connect with Tim might take Nati to him for a "secret-sauce" set up this summer.

December 12, 2014 - my "happy day"! Paul Beard delivering my "Mighty O" aka Beard E Odyssey Square neck, Rosewood back and sides, Spruce top. Almost ten years in and it sounds better every day!

Petros, nice score! I saw that guitar online when it was for sale. And great that you connected with Tim - an advanctage of living in Chicago, it's an easy enough drive to Tim's place in Michigan rather than having to pack and ship the guitar. Along with seeing the master at work. I took his setup class a bunch of years ago at ResoSummit, it was very informative.

Petros, very VERY cool looking guitar.
Have fun and don’t wear a rodeo belt buckle.
