Hello. I am new here. I have been waiting a long time to make a pickup for another instrument. I found my old 12 gauge guitar and rebuilt it to "almost" good. Done in about two months. I have read this great forum in its entirety. Unfortunately, it was already too late for some things.(Soudwell). The instrument sounds nice, has nice bass.

More below. I am from Europe, CZ. I write using translator.

I made the bottom and top of the Soundwell from solid wood. Question: Is it a very strong material? I will add a photo - after the third post ??

The palm rest has a cut on one side. So that I don't have to loosen the strings after adjusting the cone and sound test.

Nice work Jan. I've got one my dad put together years ago like that and there wasn't enough additional bracing installed. I'll need to firm up the insides a little bit because it is pulling the neck up some.
